Civil weddings and wedding receptions
at The County Hotel, Walsall, are something we do well, and each
wedding is personally overseen by the hotel owners, Ray and Anna
Gilbert.
We aim to create a tailor made
event for your wedding and are only too happy to offer ideas and
make suggestions – we are here to make sure your special day
is as perfect and relaxing as possible. Throughout the planning,
we are there to guide you step by step, and on your special day
we will take care of all your guests to ensure you can relax and
enjoy the day.

Worcester Suite
The Worcester Suite is our largest and most spacious room, comfortably accommodating up to 140 guests for a Wedding Breakfast or up to 200 guests for an informal Wedding Evening Reception. Spacious enough to include a fitted dance floor and bar, the Worcester Suite is self-contained with its own toilet and cloakroom facility. The suite has level access from the car park and full disabled facilities including toilets and hearing loop.
Stratford Suite
The newly refurbished Stratford suite offers a modern and elegant setting for up to 90 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 130 guests for your evening or informal wedding reception. Designed to offer a spacious dance floor and private bar the suite is an ideal choice for those couples who want a self contained and private venue.
Warwick Suite
The Warwick Suite is able to spaciously fit up to 35 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 75 guests for an informal evening reception. Delicately decorated, the suite also includes a dance floor and bar. With the option of combining the Warwick and Lichfield suites to create a larger function room, the capacity is increased to 50 for a wedding breakfast and 80 for an evening reception.
Lichfield Suite
The Lichfield Suite is an intimate suite designed for a maximum of comfortably 16 guests for a Wedding Breakfast.
Sutton Suite
The Sutton suite is a smaller, intimate room accommodating up to 10 guests for a Wedding Breakfast.
The Bridal Suite
The County Hotel has 3 Bridal Suites refurbished in Spring 2005
which offer a sitting area, flat screen TV, champagne and flowers
on your arrival.
Exclusively Yours
For a truly exclusive wedding venue why not hire the whole hotel for your special day with our 'Exclusively Yours Package'. The ‘Exclusively Yours Package’ allows your guests to relax not only in our Cocktail Lounge but be free to use all other areas of the hotel including the Restaurant.
We do request that 'Exclusively Yours' is taken on any Friday, Saturday or Sunday throughout the year.
Your Wedding Menu
Make your day special by giving your
guests something to remember with their own choice of a 3 starter,
3 main and 3 desserts menu. Should there be any special dietary
requests, a special menu can be provided.
Evening Wedding
Party
Your evening wedding party is as important as your wedding breakfast.
Select what you want from our buffet which includes our mouth-watering
full salmon presentation buffet.
Drinks and Refreshments
From arriving at The County Hotel,
your guests will be meet with a welcome drink. Wine will be kept
flowing throughout the meal. Guests will be given champagne to toast
the newly weds followed by a liqueur with coffee. Whatever arrangements
you require, we are happy to cater for.
Entertainment
Here at The County, you leave the entertainment to us. We can
arrange a pianist or harpist as background music throughout your
meal and a resident DJ or live band can be organised for the evening
party. You are welcome to provide your own entertainment at no
cover charge but we request that no smoke machines or strobe lighting
is used.
Civil Ceremonies
The County Hotel has become a very popular venue for Civil Weddings.
We are licensed to perform Civil Ceremonies in our wedding suites
and our room hire package includes the hire of the room for the
Civil Ceremony and music.
Civil Ceremonies take place on any day of the week including Sundays
(excluding Bank Holidays). For further details on Civil Ceremonies

Celebrate your Civil Partnership at
the County Hotel
Congratulations on your decision to hold a
civil partnership ceremony.
The County Hotel is a gay friendly wedding
venue and we look forward to helping you plan your special day
and celebrations.
Church Wedding

Parties
We aim to create a tailor made event
for every celebration, whether it is a birthday, Anniversary, engagement
or refreshment party, and are only too happy to offer you ideas
and make suggestions – we are here to make sure your party
goes well and is as relaxing for you as possible. Throughout the
planning, we are there to guide you step by step and we will take
care of all your guests to ensure you can relax and enjoy the party.
Looking after your
Guests
The County Hotel Reception Suites can comfortably accommodate up
to 120 guests for a formal dinner and up to 180 guests for an informal
Evening Party Reception with a fitted dance floor.
We do not have a minimum number policy for your event and can cater
for any event whether large or small.
Your
Party Menu
A party menu may be chosen from the party Selector Menu.
Entertainment
A Pianist or Guitarist really sets the mood during a wedding breakfast, we can arrange this for you or assist in preparations with your own suppliers.
You are welcome to provide your own DJ, all we ask is the equipment is P.A.T tested and your DJ has full Public Liability Insurance.
Disco
Celebrating your wonderful day with friends and family has become a big part of the wedding experience. At The County Hotel we can assist and advise you when arranging your post wedding entertainment. Our resident DJ is available to provide music and entertainment for wedding guests of all ages, so everyone can get up and dance the night away!
Band
If a live band is your preferred choice, The County Hotel is a lively venue and can arrange a band to suit anyone’s taste be it jazz or pop. All our bands are experienced performers and can cater for all age groups.
Alternatively you are welcome to provide your own entertainment.
